From Tanzania to Times Square
Today we launched a powerful ad for reproductive choice in New York City.
Meet Zayanna. She's an MSI team member working at one of our reproductive health centers in Zanzibar, Tanzania, and the feature of our new ad in Times Square.
She’s wearing a kanga, colorful fabric used by Tanzanian and East African women for countless purposes—whether as clothing, an apron, a pot-holder, a towel or a head-wrap. Like sexual and reproductive healthcare, a kanga is essential to her daily life.
“My name is Zayanna from Marie Stopes Tanzania. I am a clinic administrator there. We have around 30 to 50 clients per week who come for family planning services.”
Zayanna’s video portrait in Times Square reminds us that every woman deserves the ability to control her body and future, no matter what.
It also reminds the American public that our supporters make it possible for MSI to deliver our promise to women: that wherever they live and whatever resources they have, we’ll be there to give them choice. Thank you for your commitment to our work.
