The road ends, but MS Ladies keep going
Celebrating dedicated nurses and midwives on International Women's Day
On International Women's Day, we are grateful to have you in our community of strong supporters, standing with us as we defend every woman’s right to be in control of her body, her choice and her future.
Your support allows us to be a leading voice for women’s rights and their access to contraception — in part through the work of MS Ladies. These dedicated nurses and midwives are united by a desire to help women in their communities access the contraceptive method of their choice. These extraordinary women go door-to-door in countries across Africa and Asia — over remote and often dangerous terrain — to provide discreet support for women in homes and communities. This is particularly important in isolated areas and in communities where women or adolescent girls do not feel comfortable visiting traditional clinics.
We recently followed MS Ladies in Nepal as they hiked for days through the Himalayas to offer contraceptive choices to women.
These are just a few of the 730 MS Ladies working across 15 countries: in 2018, they provided contraception to over 560,000 women and girls worldwide.
We are deeply grateful for your commitment to this important work. On behalf of the millions of women we serve, thank you on this International Women’s Day.
